Remaining true to who we are and moving forward with the work we’ve already begun.
As a black man who has personally experienced the pain of overt and systemic racism, I care deeply about the trials and the plight of black people in America. My family has always been committed to driving positive change in this area. This is exhibited by our commitment of time and resources to causes that address these issues which predate the events of late. In my lifetime, to live to see the world come together is a blessing and a curse. A blessing to see people of all colors unite for change, and a curse to witness the senseless death of yet another black person. We are truly saddened by the loss of George Floyd and the many other lives that were taken too soon.
That said, I will continue to do everything within my power to help drive positive change, not only on a personal level but also professionally. BCforward, as a black-owned company has had a spirit of diversity, inclusion, acceptance, and support for people of color ingrained in its DNA from the very beginning. This is proudly reflected in the diversity and character of the leadership team at BCforward.
Today, we reaffirm our commitment to our core principals with a plan for additional action. BCforward is announcing a $100,000 grant to the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) to support its work in dismantling systemic racism; as well as, additional funds to further support the work of the Justin & Darrianne P. Christian Center for Diversity and Inclusion at DePauw University.
At BCforward we embrace the responsibility to be part of the solution and we are committed to continued action.
